How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Bodacious Promotions celebrating its 11th year, is certified nationally by the National Minority Supplier Development Council, (NMSDC) by the state of PA as a “minority and woman owned” business, and by the City of Philadelphia as a “minority owned” business. Ms. Hayes as CEO, has held memberships with the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors bureau, The Multicultural Affairs Congress, Meeting Professionals International, and Center City Proprietors. Cassandra served six years on the Small Business Board of The Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and spearheaded the strategic diversity initiative for the Chamber’s membership. In 2006, she was instrumental in reviving the local chapter of the National Association of African Americans in Human Resources, serving as Vice President on the Executive Board and appointed to the Communication and Branding Committee of the National Board.>
She is Executive Director of The Solomon Principle Group, a non-profit whose mission is to provide training and consultive services to Christian entrepreneurs. Bodacious Promotions, Inc. along with Exelon Corporation was the chief sponsor of the 1st Kingdom Entrepreneurs Business Plan competition which awarded prizes totally $5000.
Ms. Hayes worked with the Marriott Bridges Program, (a non-profit organization) which places mentally or physically disabled high school students as interns. She has employed several senior citizens and “welfare to work”, giving both a sense of purpose and pride.
Cassandra avails herself as a speaker on many occasions regarding entrepreneurship to youth training groups such as Temple Young Entrepreneurs, Philadelphia Futures, The Multicultural Affairs Congress and YouthBuild. She was invited to Wharton to lecture to the Leadership Education and Development Program for Business, an intensive program for high school juniors focused on strategic business practices.
